Friday 8 March @ 7.30pm
Open Space is an interactive forum for exploring spiritual-social issues, through lectures, discussions, dialogues, music, video and group activities. Friday evenings 7.30-9.30pm with coffee and cake.
Postponed from February (with apologies for the inconvenience caused!) Open Space welcomes Dr Bashir Saade, a lecture in Religion and Politics at Stirling University, who will speak on themes surrounding identity, conflict and progress in contemporary Middle Eastern politics. This promises to be a lively and interactive session aimed at participation. Dr Saade will focus on various case studies and historical events, and will take questions from the group.
The event is free but if you enjoy it you may wish to make a donation to the Open Space charity of the year.
Open Space events are held monthly, usually on the first Friday of the month. Recent events have included:
- a debate about the resurrection
- performance of the play "Jesus in the Broom Cupboard?"
- a Christmas-themed talent show
- games and quiz nights
- film and discussion evenings
- a writing workshop as part of the This I Believe programme.
