Stirling Methodist Church - Medical Blister Packs
At the beginning of October 2022 the Stirling Green Team decided to set up an experimental scheme at church for recycling medical blister packs. We had absolutely no idea how the church would respond. If it did not take off then we would scrap the idea.
At the end of September 2023 we had recycled 2,535 blister packs. This equates to just under 50 packs a week. In the whole scheme of things the difference we make recycling these blister packs is negligible. Our effort is too little to be measured, but collectively with many others doing the same we do make a difference.
Superdrug in 2022 recycled 81 tonnes (37 million) blister packs.
Ours is a very small contribution but it makes a very big statement about our priorities: this planet is worth saving. At the end, our widow's mite contribution will be noticed.
Thanks to everybody who contributed and to those whose good health prevented you from contributing may you keep your health for a long time to come.
